LOCALS WANTING TO HOST: Thank you to everone who applied. We are completing placements this week. If you missed the deadline and are still interested in helping, we have a great need for more volunteers! Complete the form below and our committee will place you so you can help on the big day.

RIDERS SEEKING HOUSING: Our housing application form has officially closed. Anyone waiting to hear for placement should receive that information on or before the week of June 16th. If we are unable to place you, please consider using one of our many green spaces! Also, your group could apply to stay at the RV campground if you need green space & would like access to electricity for your support vehicles. We are so looking forward to hosting everyone!

Riders Staying in Forest City

Forest City Residents look forward to hosting you on your ride through Iowa. Please consider the following if you are staying in someone's home or using their green space to camp.

  • Tip your host (folks are going out of their way for you - be a gracious guest)
  • Clean up after yourselves and your team
  • Communicate with your host in advance if you have special needs/requests

Forest City Hosts

Thinking about hosting? That would be awesome. Already signed up? Great job! Here are some things to keep in mind.

  • Communicate your expectations with riders clearly (i.e. if you are allowing laundry to be done at your house, please let the team know; if you don't want folks inside your home, please tell them this)
  • In the event of an emergency, it is an expectation that you will provide shelter for the riders you are hosting
